Concepts

We use the present continuous to talk about:

• Actions at the moment of speaking.

• Actions in progress.

• Trends.

• Future arrangements

• Temporary actions.

Structure

• We always need the auxiliary "be" (am, is are) and a verb + ing.

• If we want to talk about the future, or about something temporary, we need a time expression (later today, tonight, for the moment, etc.).
