We use the Present Perfect Continuous to talk about an action that happens over a period of time, and lasts up to the present. For example:
I've been wating for you for 10 minutes! (I'm waiting right now).
When we use the Present Perfect Continuous, we normally emphasize the duration of the activity: for 10 minutes, since 2020, etc.
We also use this tense to speak about repeated actions over a period of time. For example:
I've been studying English since I was a child.
We cannot use the Present Perfect Continuous with state verbs such as know, exist, contain, etc.
